The Main Event: La Minervetta x Lisa Corti

Last fall I had the opportunity to visit Sorrento, Italy, and stay at La Minervetta, the amazing vision of set designer and architect Marco di Luca. What was once his grandfather’s restaurant was passed down to him, which he expanded into the most charming cliffside hotel. Di Luca’s mother had always been a fan of Lisa Corti, so he furnished the property with the designer’s homewares.

To celebrate that long-standing friendship—and the 60th anniversary of Lisa Corti—the brand collaborated with the hotel to launch a collection of tabletop, bedding, pillows, and more. Drawing on the colors and graphic shapes of the surroundings and some of Corti’s iconic motifs like the dahlia, the collection is as bold and vibrant as you’d expect. I brought some of the placemats and napkins home, and using them takes me right back to sipping my limoncello and snacking on olives. —Kate Berry, chief content officer

The Party Flex: East Fork’s New Colors

As a way of saying farewell to winter’s glossy, moody hues, East Fork welcomed Piglet and Butter to its glaze assortment this week. Perfectly complementing the brand’s brighter options, like Eggshell and Panna Cotta, the new colors encourage shoppers to mix and match.

The Soft Launch: Charlap Hyman & Herrero x Patterson Flynn

Patterson Flynn’s latest collection marks the rug and textile brand’s third collaboration with design firm Charlap Hyman & Herrero. Drawing inspiration from Madeleine Castaing’s carpets, Gio Ponti’s ceramics, Cecil Beaton’s set designs, and astrological charts, the whimsical array of hand-knotted silk and wool rugs is both unlike anything we’ve ever seen and rooted in familiar icons.

The Glow Getter: MoMA’s George Sowden Lighting Collection

It feels like every day new products hit MoMA Design Store’s site, but a particularly noteworthy collection with British designer and Memphis Group founder George Sowden is currently stealing the show. The line of 10 lamps was actually inspired by a silicone prototype and brings with it a heavy dose of personality and playfulness.
