We could watch Amber Lewis style bookshelves all day, every day. “Shelves are really where you can show your personality,” says the Los Angeles-based designer. Naturally, when she sat down to design her latest furniture collection with Four Hands, she included a massive cabinet made from solid oak that’s perfect for displaying all sorts of curiosities.

The Harding cabinet offers adjustable shelves behind sliding glass doors where you can pepper in old books, ceramic bowls, oil paintings, and even the occasional milking stool (one of our favorite Lewis-approved tricks). There’s also a row of shallow drawers (ideal for batteries and extra phone chargers) and two roomy cabinets where you can pile up board games. It’s “a staple piece that is both beautiful and functional,” says Lewis.

Nailing that layered, lived-in feel is the goal of the other 80-plus pieces in the collection. Lewis opted for cozy textiles, including shearling and stitched patchwork, and introduced a canopy bed, vanity stool, and an outdoor ottoman coffee table for the very first time. Here are just some of the standouts in the fall drop.
The Gwendolyn Accent Stool
On Lewis’s trend watch this fall: new furniture that looks vintage. With this collection, she focused on blending traditional fabrics (like this stool’s whimsical Damask print) with edgy silhouettes (peep the hammered bronze frame).
The Paula 6 Drawer Dresser
Lacquered linen is the most surprising material in this collection. Lewis applied the unique paint treatment to the Sasha coffee table, Mirabel sideboard, and even this solid mahogany dresser. The sensitive surface requires a type-A owner who will avoid putting any sharp objects on it, swears by coasters, addresses spills immediately, and will keep it out of super sunny spots to avoid fading.

The Jodie Canopy Bed
When it comes to updating her own home for winter, Lewis is game to swap out throw pillows and blankets for chunkier alternatives but she’ll also lean into rich hues, like a bed with a mossy green headboard. “And of course, candles and scents can set the tone,” adds the designer. Her favorite right now is a mix of peppermint and eucalyptus called September.
The Tova Desk Chair
Stylish swivel chairs are a hard thing to come by so we were delighted to see this one’s paper cord-wrapped back and plush foam cushion.
The Camino Ottoman
Lewis notes this patchwork-style ottoman is the perfect size (20 inches wide) to add to any space as an extra seating option.
