Among the many treasures IKEA has to offer, there’s one thing we’ve been especially excited about lately: baskets. Organization is one of the joys of life, only made better by cute vessels to store all of your knick-knacks, linens, and whatever else needs to be hidden just out of sight. The Mavinn collection was recently replenished, and as luck would have it, there are more than a few baskets gracing the curation. We took a deep dive into the many pages of options to pull some of our favorites, with a few tips for how to style them. You know, just to get the imagination going.
Snöplog Basket
This set of nesting baskets would be a good solution for all of the things that clutter a bathroom countertop: toothpaste, hairbrushes, makeup, hair ties, or face masks. If you’re short on real estate, the smaller baskets can be pushed flush against the wall for a sleeker look.
Tolkning Basket
Laundry basket? Ok, but it would also be a great organization option for gift wrapping supplies. Never again would you be searching the house for a pair of scissors or tape. Plus, the wheels make it easy to tote from room to room.
Mävinn Bread Basket
This design is just about the perfect size for collecting mail or all of the sunglasses you seem to misplace. Create a little gathering space near your entryway to feel like a master of organization every time you leave the apartment.
Krallig Basket
Follow the lead of our home editor, Lydia Geisel, and use this spacious basket as a spot for bathing suits. They’re tough to fold and always seem to overpower a dresser drawer, so this is a way to never worry about that again.
Djurtränare Basket
This colorful bowl is begging to carry a bunch of fruit. That’ll just make it easier to eat it all before it overripens, right?
Åsunden Basket
Clip a label to the handle of these square baskets and you’ve got the beginnings of some expert-level linen closet organization. Some starter ideas: Gather your detergents or use them to house unmatched socks.
Tolkning Hanging Basket
Here’s a fun decor idea: Hang this tote on the wall and fill it with dried flowers. Alternatively, it’s the perfect bag to bring those blooms home from the farmer’s market.
Lövräfsa Basket
Corral all of the kids’ stuffed animals into this massive catchall. Plus, the bamboo construction makes it pretty enough to display front and center in the living room.
