What do Christy Turlington Burns, Emily Weiss, and Eva Chen have in common? Two things, actually: great skin and the same celebrity esthetician, Joanna CzechThe high-tech expert uses some of the most advanced tools on the market, from LED lights and cryotherapy to ultrasound water devices, but it’s her out-of-the-box, effective skincare suggestions and routines that keep her clients glowing year round. You don’t have to be a Czech regular to get her enviable tips though.

Czech says there are five product types that are the most vital in your everyday regimen: cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and SPF. “Products’ efficacy increases significantly when your body is at rest and in a regenerative state,” says Czech, who suggests your nightly routine is the most important. Every person’s skin is unique so one-size-fits-all skin care plan is not realistic, but maybe Czech’s go-to nightly routine for glowing, happy skin will inspire you to find your new favorite product.

Step 1: Moisturize Your Body

Czech showers as soon as she gets home. “I don’t like to bring my day to bed,” she says. After showering, she hydrates her body with a mix of Environ Derma-Lac Lotion, $74, Derma-Lac Vitamin A, C & E Body Oil, $84, and then follows up with Biologique Recherche Lipogen AC Anti Cellulite Oil, $115, and massages it in with Biologique Recherche Massage Glove, $43.

Step 2: Cleanse

Apply products as soon as you get home so active ingredients have time to absorb into the skin, rather than rubbing off on your pillowcase. Czech always starts her facial routine with a cleanser. Depending on the season and how her skin feels, she’ll alternate between Biologique Recherche Lait EV, $43, Meder Gel-Net Apex Cleanser, $80, and Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, $64. She rinses her cleanser off with a linen washcloth, which helps remove all traces of impurities and makeup but also gives a gentle exfoliation.

Step 3: Tone

Toning helps to balances the skin’s pH. Czech alternates between Biologique Recherche P50 PIGM 400, $68, and Tammy Fender Bulgarian Rose Water, $65. The P50 PIGM 400 is an exfoliating and brightening lotion that is ideal for dull skin with hyperpigmented marks, while the Bulgarian Rose Water is super hydrating for dry skin.

Step 4: Try a Facial Massager

Czech is no stranger to a facial massage—it’s one of her trademarks in her celeb-approved facial. But you don’t need to be a client to replicate the results at home. Every night she uses her own Joanna Czech Facial Massager, $189, which is made of a weighty aluminum and zinc to improve your skin’s circulation and elasticity, as well as lift and tone. She’ll either massage after using toner or over a sheet mask.

Step 5: Serum

After toning and massaging, Czech applies a serum. Right now, she’s using either a mix of Biologique Recherche Colostrum Serum, $68, and Biologique Recherche VG Tencil, $71, or just Biologique Recherche Serum Elastin Pure, $68. Colostrum and VG Tencil improves hydration and elasticity, while Elastin Pure exfoliates and addresses fine lines.

Step 6: Moisturize Your Face

Last, but definitely not least, Czech applies a rich product to seal in moisture. She chooses between either Biologique Recherche Creme Masque Vernix, $190, mixed with Vintner’s Daughter, $185, or Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream, $160.

While a treatment from Czech is certainly more of a luxury, mimicking aspect of her everyday routine is not only possible but downright achievable. Happy, glowing skin is just a few steps away.
