Shay Mitchell is making room for baby. The Pretty Little Liars star, who is expecting her first child with long-term boyfriend Matte Babel, recently brought in a crew of pro organizers from Life in Jeneral, founded by Jen Robin, to clean up their L.A. home before the little one arrives. Both Mitchell and the brand shared snapshots of the makeover on Instagram, including a comical before-and-after video on IGTV that shows Mitchell desperately trying to squeeze all her Tupperware into a drawer. Here’s a peek at what the tidying gurus have tackled so far:
The Nursery Closet
“Replacing my crop tops with even smaller tops these days,” Mitchell captioned a photo of a neat armoire filled with teeny-tiny outfits. The spacious nook now features double hanging rods organized by season; onesies and dresses hang from above, while the bottom is stocked with jackets and sweaters. At the very top, the pro organizers carved out room for lidded bins, which we assume house bibs, blankets, and toddler clothes. According to a post by Life In General, the goal was to leave her little girl with plenty of “room to grow” and, apparently, lots of room for stylish shoes. (Like mother, like daughter.)
The Kitchen Storage

With a baby on the way, @shaymitchell wanted to start fresh. We had the pleasure of organizing her home from top to bottom to help prep for her little one. As a foodie, it was important we got the kitchen up to par and there’s no better place to start than the spice drawer! ? #GetOrganized
In addition to tackling the nursery, the experts spruced up Mitchell’s kitchen. First up: the spices. Images in the video show a semi-chaotic arrangement of mismatched bottles, with some sitting in an elevated rack in the center. In the after shot, though, the seasonings are streamlined and laying flat in cohesive jars. Shockingly, the ingredients aren’t divided alphabetically but rather by color.
Using the Container Store’s expandable bamboo dividers, they whipped the deeper drawers into shape, too, grouping such items as tea bags, snacks, and sauces together to maximize space. Itching for a refresh of your own? All the products featured in the actress’s kitchen and pantry happen to be on sale through November 10.
