It’s Okay to Go With a Darker Palette
It’s not all about whitewashed minimalism, and this vibrant and saturated green kitchen is all the proof you need. Paired with an all-white backdrop, the stark contrast between the two hues establish a dynamic element, balancing out the ultra contemporary qualities of the room’s design. A lustrous copper pendant completes the scene, imparting the room with a statement-worthy finish.
Use the Floors
Well, almost. Install a shelf low to the ground and utilize it as a base for stacks of art books, plants, and various decorative accessories. The lower position of the shelf invites a more casual and effortless finish, one that perfectly exudes the modern simplicity of Scandinavian decor.
Mixing and Matching Decorative Schemes Can Pay Off
When two solid decorative styles come together, good things are always in store. In this colorful home, it’s all about mixing Scandinavian cool with a little boho chic. The result? Pops of warm color, a bevy of live greens, and streamlined furnishings, which effortlessly complement one another.

Green Is In!
Florals Aren’t Going Anywhere
Black on Black Exudes Contemporary Cool
Decorating with an almost exclusively all-black decor scheme can be done. The key? Avoiding the overly glossy and opting for a variety of textures that will emulate a diverse finish among the furnishings.
The Outdoors Are Just As Important As The Indoors
Brown + Gray Works
Kid Decor Works In Any Situation
A swing installation in the middle of the living room is definitely acceptable, as long as it fits within the surrounding decorative scheme.
