“Back in the day, people wanted baby products to look like baby products,” says Cindy Reppert, gobal fashion director at Nuna Baby. “Now modern parents enjoy simple colors; they don’t want to have to hide their kids’ stuff when friends come over.”
Since 2007 Nuna has had its sights set on clever solutions that span across in-home pieces, car seats, and strollers. For its latest collaboration with Pottery Barn Kids, Nuna has designed a collection of smart yet stylish gear. Instead of hot pink or bright blue, you’ll find a subtle gray and creamy beige that pair nicely with an all-white nursery or a neutral family room. Aptly named the Brushstroke Dot Collection, each piece features a sleek brushstroke pattern, which feels both contemporary and creative. It’s what Reppert calls “sophisticated baby.”
“We’re all about textiles and textures and the depth of the fabrics—which means a lot to both parent and child,” she explains. “We want these patterns to look like baby products without screaming ‘baby.’ We want the products to blend well with a home’s decor.”
Ranging from infant car seats to strollers and swaying seats built for soothing sleepy babies, the Brushstroke Dot Collection includes new iterations of Nuna’s ever-popular LEAF™ grow, which offers rhythmic, side-to-side swaying that feels like a soothing hug, and the SENA™ aire, which provides 360 degrees of ventilation for consistently fresh airflow and deep sleep periods. The PIPA™ lite LX, a featherlight and clever car seat; the MIXX™ next, a versatile stroller; and the RAVA™, an uncomplicated convertible car seat, are also featured. The beauty in all the pieces, of course, is that they’re design driven without sacrificing functionality.
