Now that the temperatures are finally rising, it’s time for the humble backyard picnic to shine. Of course, no outdoor fete is complete without a blanket to set the tone—and Miranda Kerr seems to have found the perfect one for families.
Over Memorial Day weekend, the model and mom of three posted a photo on Instagram of herself lounging on a mat by Gathre, featuring a map of the globe. According to the company, the water-resistant find is made from responsibly sourced leather and is free of toxins, PVC, phthalates, and lead. While it can double as a craft/play mat, a beach towel (the other side is flocked suede), and even a tablecloth, Kerr used hers to set up a reading spot in the shade.
With museums still closed and many camps canceled, finding ways to keep little ones busy and entertained this summer is going to be tough. Fortunately, this basic blanket has the ability to turn family outings at the park into a mini adventure.
