In the era of virtual awards shows, instead of who celebs are wearing, we’re wondering what’s behind them in their at-home “red carpet” interviews. For Jared Leto, nominated for best supporting actor for The Little Things, a simple white bookshelf made the perfect backdrop for his preshow chat with Jane Lynch. When the actress commented on his minimalist setup, Leto quipped it was “straight from IKEA.” After a bit of sleuthing, we’ve found the shelves that will make you forget all about his plastic corsage: the $70 Kallax

For some added height, he stacked two horizontal Kallax bookcases on top of each other. Leto’s take on the basic structure is to keep it airy, with just a few groupings of books and a couple plants (we spy easy-to-care-for succulents!) in the cubes.

The shelving system is one of IKEA’s most versatile, and there are plenty of hacks to customize them even further, from color-blocking the squares to adding legs and custom door fronts. Not a paperback person? The shelves are also perfectly shaped to hold vinyl records. We just hope Leto took the time to secure his top unit to the wall—a potential Oscar nomination could mean a lot of jumping around the house.
