The humble stool is easily the most underrated piece of furniture. The versatile surface can double as a chair, nightstand, side table, footrest, and even a stand-alone sculpture. Looking for one that quite literally does it all—indoors and out? Few are in higher demand than EQ3’s Bingo, Bango, and Bongo options (normally $180 each, but they’re currently on sale for $150). Since launching the three pieces (each shape differs slightly) in the fall of 2019, the company has had to increase its inventory levels by almost 70 percent. Suffice to say, it’s the hottest seat in the house.

Topping their covetable attributes are their durable, double-walled earthenware structure, making them a solid choice for outdoor patios and balconies. Their terracotta finish is on trend, but more important it allows the piece to blend with most styles of furniture, from shabby-chic to mid-century modern. Each of the versions boasts a wide, flat top, allowing them to safely support trays, large vessels, and, of course, people. While the three-legged Bingo is temporarily out of stock, you can grab the other two popular picks before they sell out again. Then get to styling!

Warm oranges and peachy tones play nicely with the stool’s nude pink color. Take a page out of Christina Higham’s book and top your outdoor sofa with apricot-hued throw pillows.

Whether your mattress is directly on the floor or your frame sits extra-low, this stool makes for the perfect bedside table (the heights range from 11 ½ inches to 14 ½ inches). There aren’t any fussy drawers or shelves, so it will force you to stick to just the essentials: a book, a water carafe, and a fragrant candle.

Do right by your greenery and lift it off the ground. When your trailing plants are still in the beginning stages of growth, prop them up here so you can clearly admire their dangling leaves.

Instead of littering your windowsill or fireplace mantel with vases, spread things out by displaying small treasures on this surface. Your favorite objects deserve to be placed on a pedestal.
