After receiving much acclaim for their initial installation in San Francisco last year, The Color Factory is thrilled to be bringing on the bright color in New York City this summer. The massive New York location will span over 20,000 square feet in the SoHo neighborhood and feature a new collection of artists and collaborators who are all passionate about creating in color.
Once again, the multi-sensory experience is founded and presented by Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day, who teamed up with artist Leah Rosenberg and designer Erin Jang to launch the inaugural NYC event.
“We are so fortunate to work with such a talented group of artists and designers to bring Color Factory to a creative, diverse, and vibrant city like New York,” said Ferney in a statement. “We hope the palettes and experiences offered inside Color Factory will challenge perceptions, awaken senses, invite joy, and remind visitors to revel in the colorful moments of everyday life.”
Assembling an impressive roster of renowned artists, designers, and creatives to tell their unique color stories, the installation is a true collaboration. In addition to featuring some of Rosenberg and Jang’s work, the space will also include impressive displays from the artists like Christine Wong Yap and Randi Brookman Harris, among others.
Boasting everything from an ombre floating balloon room to a space that lets you discover your “secret color”, Color Factory invites you to wander through the 16 stunning installations that paint a perfect palette of multi-colored artistry inspired by the city. You’ll be able to test your moves on a luminous dance floor and chow down on a few colorful treats—including custom ice cream made just for the Color Factory. The pop-up’s signature ball room will also feature in the New York location, perfect for indulging your inner kid (and Instagram pro).
The colorful fun doesn’t stop once you leave the walls of the installation, however: Color Factory promises a special treasure-hunt-like experience. Bequeathing all guests with a secret interactive neighborhood map at the end of the visit, the brand encourages you to find your way to 20 additional unique experiences hidden throughout Manhattan. They’re just for Color Factory guests to explore and enjoy.
Want in? Tickets go on sale today, and the exhibit officially opens on August 20 for a limited time only. In the meantime, we suggest you check out Manhattan’s Color Walk, a free public installation created by Color Factory that’s just as much of vibrant color experience as the real thing.
