Thanks to Blake Lively, We Can’t Stop Thinking About This New Tile Trick

Over the weekend, Blake Lively celebrated Valentine’s Day with an Instagram post of appreciation for husband Ryan Reynolds, and the cheeky caption certainly caught the attention of fans. But for design geeks, the most interesting part of the snap was actually the pair’s interesting bathroom tiling.

At first glance the actors’ bathroom sports eye-catching (but not groundbreaking) zellige tile on the walls, but if you look closely, you’ll notice that the tile continues on, covering the ceiling entirely. By using a neutral hue for their unique look, the couple succeeds in making a statement that’s also subdued. Not to mention that the tile beautifully frames their skylight and is a great way to highlight a special feature (like a pendant light). 

If you want to achieve this look in your own renovation, try any of these similar tile options. Just remember to warn your loved ones: With a head-to-toe tiled bathroom, you may never emerge into the real world again.
