My name is Barrett Prendergast and I am the owner of Valleybrink Road , a boutique catering and gifting company. Atwater Village has inspired and continues to inspire so many aspects of my life, from wanting to grow my family to the name of my company. It just feels how I always imagined home should feel. It’s a happy place.
My favorite shop in Atwater is @individualmedleystore . It is my go-to spot for gifts, cookbooks, candles, incense, and any other little treasures I need. They also have the most comfortable couch, which you can find me on more often than not! #locallyinspired
I love living in a neighborhood with great walking streets. There are trees filled with blossoming pink and purple blooms and everything is relatively flat. Perfect for pushing that stroller…ahhh, the Mama life. #locallyinspired

If Cacio e Pepe is on the menu, I am there. @allacquaresto opened relatively recently and makes an absolutely delicious bowl of pasta. Lunch or dinner, it always hits the spot. #locallyinspired
I have spent many a day in @proofbakery. Some of the best pastries I have ever had in LA, run by the best people. For first timers, the Ham and Cheese Croissant is a must. #locallyinspired
Gourmet falafel? Yes, please. @dune_la serves up organic falafels, salads, and middle eastern sandwiches and they are delicious! I also love how simple the decor in this tiny little spot is….glass, white, marble, wood. The basics done beautifully. #locallyinspired
Every village needs a florist and that is why I am so grateful for @yasminemei . To sum up how lovely she is, she regularly drops off free bundles of flowers at Individual Medley for people to come and grab. #locallyinspired
