HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?

Eclectic and colorfully bold. My style is contemporary, with added textures and hues. I love to mix and match elements especially when it comes to pairing my vintage heirlooms with modern pieces.

ON WHAT DO YOU SPLURGE?

I definitely splurge on statement pieces. I will fall in love with a piece, that happens to be one-of-a-kind, and often times it’s something used to add drama to a space or pull a room together.

WHERE DO YOU FEEL MOST INSPIRED?

I find inspiration everywhere. I’m constantly seeing it in nature, whether it’s an intricatepattern on a slab of marble or a pop of color on an exotic bug.

WHAT MAKES A HOME BEAUTIFUL?

I’ve always believed that a home should be a reflection of those who occupy it. I’m always surrounding myself with things that make me happy.

Upon the realization of her true calling in life, Kohut enrolled in NYC’s The New School, where her burgeoning interest in art was fueled with inspiration. After the birth of her son, it was Kohut’s loving husband who encouraged her to pursue her dreams of opening up a studio.
