We get it, sofas are expensive—but not without good reason. This piece of furniture is the central hub of the living room, and these days it’s more than just a go-to gathering spot for movie nights. (Yours might also be the preferred place to take work calls and meetings, in addition to the occasional midday nap, or perhaps a makeshift guest room with a secret mattress hidden inside.) So calling it a worthy investment is an understatement. But if full price is too big a pill for you to swallow—and hunting for the best sofa under $500 sounds like more trouble than it’s worth—we scrounged up every deal we could find happening right now or over Memorial Day weekend.

There isn’t a specific promotion happening at Anthropologie at present, but we thought you ought to know about the hundreds of products on sale right now. We’re eyeing this recycled cotton-polyester slipcover, which is $700 off. “I love my sofa. It is stylish, cozy, and so, so comfortable!” one shopper shares.
Up to 55% Off Select Items at Arhaus
May 17-31, take 20% off bedroom and outdoor at Arhaus during its Memorial Day sale. Until then, more than 500 products are on sale right now, including up to 55% off a chic mix of sofas. In our opinion, anything upholstered from the nearly 40-year-old, sustainably minded brand is a good bet.
Up to 30% Off Select Items at Article
Going all the way through May 27 is Article’s Memorial Day Sale, during which select styles are up to 30% off. That means more than 700 deals across the site, including the Abisko sectional and lots of outdoor sofas, sets, and more.
Up to 60% Off Sitewide at Burrow
Burrow’s Memorial Day Sale is on, and sleeper sofas clock in at up to 20% off, like the Shift. It is maybe one the comfiest-looking sleepers we’ve seen to date—and it’s now $300 off. The singular bench folds out like a futon, but the cushions are like a mattress in disguise, offering layers of memory foam.
Up to $450 Off Sitewide at Castlery
Castlery is behind a few of our favorite sectional sofas, specifically the best-selling Hamilton chaise, which you can now score at a discount during the brand’s Memorial Day Sale. There’s a tiered pricing structure: $100 off $1,500 or more, $200 off $2,500 or more, and $450 off $4,500 or more; plus get a $50 voucher when you join the Castlery Club. Or check out a few styles that are already on clearance, such as the Todd. One reviewer describes it as “simple and versatile for a limited space.” Another adds, “I was looking for a sofa that fit my small living room and needed the right dimensions. We’ve already noticed several collab products on sale from Leanne Ford, Athena Calderone, and Jake Arnold. Many products are final sale, so keep that in mind when adding to your cart.

30% Off Sectionals at Floyd
As enthusiasts of the modular furniture brand, we’re totally locked into Floyd’s sale calendar—the Detroit-based retailer often hosts sitewide sales during which sofas and sectionals are discounted a little more. Unsurprisingly, our latest check-in revealed deals on its best-selling sofas, love seats, and chaise styles; they’re once again 30% off. We’d go for the quasi-customizable Sink Down. Much like the Form, this latest iteration offers a slew of stain-resistant performance fabrics that make it kid- and pet-friendly. It’s also one of the best deep-seat sofas out there.

The outdoor brand responsible for durable sofas and sectionals as well as great dining options is having a 20% off Memorial Day Sale May 16–June 4.

Pottery Barn’s catalog is packed with sofas and sectionals, and starting May 19, there’ll be up to 50% savings across thousands of items.
