It’s only February, but IKEA is already on its third drop of the year. This time, it’s for the kiddos (and their storage-starved parents). The Grejsimojs collection was born out of the main finding in the brand’s 2024 Play Report: We’re in the midst of what IKEA calls a play revolution. “Both adults and children consider play a way forward—the key to escaping from pressure and stress and increasing happiness and wellbeing,” the report explains.

In the new Grejsimojs line, that looks like home decor staples reinvented to spark the imagination—and maybe even the urge to actually put everything back afterwards. Baskets take the shape of cats, a felt room divider sports peekaboo windows, and a cozy abstract rug is also a hilly green landscape to navigate. I took one look at the collection and started redecorating my two-year-old’s bedroom in my mind. Here are my top five picks:
The Floor Cushions
Extra seating, but also a series of stepping stones—or landing pads or fort construction materials. My biggest want.
The Pouffe
A genius cleanup incentive for little ones: Only when you open this toy storage bench will you see its row of monster teeth.
The Children’s Table and Stool
This is an ideal crafts setup for smaller spaces like mine—the stools tuck neatly away underneath the matching table.
The Room Divider
When there’s no time to pick up the Magna-Tiles, behind this room divider they go. Plus, with a few folds, it turns into a play house.
The Wall Decorations
An afternoon art project that won’t go to waste. Assemble these cardboard critters with your kiddo, then hang them up as 3D art.
