Maman NYC is located at 239 Centre Street (between Grand and Broome) in New York, NY.

We’re smitten with this cozy downtown French café and bakery.

Michelin-starred French chef Armand Arnal teamed up with baker Elisa Marshall and restaurateur Benjamin Sormonte to open Maman: a quiet, intimate French café and bakery in SoHo.

In addition to serving up savory family recipes from the South of France (think Comte cheese quiche and Parisian ham croques), the provincial farmhouse-style café also offers an assortment of artisanal breads and pastries, all baked fresh daily, in-house.

And if you love the menu at Maman but are in the mood for something a tad heftier, the trio will open their new outpost, Papa Poule—complete with a rotisserie roaster in the front window—this month just one block over (on Lafayette St.).

We Recommend: The croque ‘Maman’ with homemade béchamel sauce.
