It’s true that washi tape has been around on the blogosphere for what seems like forever, but lucky for us, crafty DIY-ers are still coming up with cool new ways to use it. It’s truly one of the most versatile materials out there, since it comes in pretty much every color and pattern you can imagine. This project-friendly material is completely temporary when used for decor purposes, making it an amazing solution for renters who want to do a little non-permanent wall or furniture embellishment. Plus, at $5 or less per roll, you’re really getting some bang for your buck.

Adding rounded stripes to a simple white vase creates the illusion of a more sophisticated pottery piece.
