Following Target’s announcement of a new home decor line debuting this September, we made a wishlist of all our favorite pieces, and began eagerly anticipating the fall. Now, there’s another reason to get excited about the company: It’s introducing a line of $5 wines.

That’s right: Watch out Trader Joe’s; Target is coming for your brand.

California Roots—which is the name of the new, affordable wine collection—will launch at over 1,100 Target stores starting September 3. It will include five different wine blends created from California grapes. Wine and beer are becoming increasingly popular sellers at Target, and as a result, the store already has a large variety of beverages available—including Wine Cubes, the colorful boxed wines that contain the equivalent of four bottles in one container.

However, the California Roots collection brings something new to the table. Not only is it vastly more affordable than most wine lines on the market, but the vineyard-to-table angle ensures high quality that’s not usually found at this price point.

“These wines are just the right blend of incredible quality and amazing value that guests can only get at Target,” Jeff Burt, senior vice president of food and beverage, said in a statement.

The collection includes a tropical, fruit-flavored Chardonnay, a citrusy Pinot Grigio, a Moscato infused with notes of peach and melon, an oaky Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Red Blend that incorporates berry, cherry, and spice for a delicious finish.

September 3 is serendipitously just around the corner, but if you don’t want to wait until then for more info, Target has released full descriptions of the wines—as well as suggested pairings for each bottle.
