From the creative forces behind the design and development group Studio Tack, and Eagle Point Hotel Partners, comes an exciting new venture that’s putting North Fork back on the map: Sound View. The waterfront hotel, which only recently opened, is situated on a private beach along the Long Island Sound. With a design aesthetic that wavers between New England modernism and an ode to the golden era of motels, subtle nods towards the town’s fishing and boating history are also apparent throughout.

Each one of the rooms come with a deck for unparalleled panoramic and waterfront views. The seafront cottages are comprised of a classic-meets-modern decor scheme, effortlessly emulating the laid-back aesthetic of the hotel.

James Beard Award-winning chef, Galen Zamarra, will be overseeing The Halyard, the hotel’s waterfront restaurant, which will be serving seafood and American classics. A piano bar and lounge, pool and beach bar, and private event space will also be managed by Zamarra.

The Halyard’s menu emulates the geographical history of the North Fork and the Atlantic Seaboard.

The library comes with an equally appealing wall of books—much like the one found within Scribner’s Catskills Lodge, also designed by Studio Tack—sea views simply go without saying.

In need of a getaway? This is one spot you won’t want to miss out on. Learn more about Sound View here.
