When songstress, fashion icon, and Barbadian beauty mogul Rihanna made the move from Los Angeles to NYC four years ago, the artist decided to put down her Manhattan roots at a luxe duplex at 129 Lafayette Street. Decked out with a wraparound terrace, wood-burning fireplace, and sky-high ceilings, the pad is certainly befitting a diva. According to the NY Post, the star was paying approximately $39,000 per month when she first moved into the penthouse back in 2013—her monthly dues have since climbed to $50,000.

Fit for badass jet-setters and hosting unforgettable dinner parties, the four-bedroom abode appears to have been a match made in real estate heaven for the artist. But all dream rentals must come to an end: RiRi’s luxe pad—which sits on the border of Soho, Chinatown, and Little Italy—is officially on the market for a whopping $16.95 million. Here, peek inside the A-lister’s former Manhattan escape.

Spanning the top two floors of the building, the apartment’s sprawling and open layout makes it easy to flow from the formal living room to the chef’s kitchen to the media room. The concrete flooring and uninterrupted sightlines give the chic living spaces a cool and contemporary vibe.

On the upper level, there’s a meticulously landscaped terrace that accounts for 2,400 square feet of the home’s total 7,000. Given that there’s no shortage of outdoor space, we’re guessing RiRi enjoyed some epic entertaining moments during the warmer months.

A floating staircase leads to the lower level where potential buyers will discover a generous master bedroom, as well as three other bedrooms (one of which has been transformed into a home office). Suffice it to say that the glamorous master suite is fit for a queen. The light-filled bedroom boasts both a dressing room and a massive walk-in closet—because where else do you think the star puts together her epic ensembles?

In the end, nothing can really top the en-suite bathroom. While soaking in the six-foot, stand alone tub, new residents can also soak in incredible views of the Empire State Building. The international superstar has a thing for over-the-top bathrooms: Just recently, she purchased a glam Hollywood Hills estate for $6.9 million which comes with an equally dreamy master bath.

While the home boasts a number of modern updates and amenities, potential buyers who are searching for a place with character will find it in the building. Built in 1911, Rihanna’s former Soho address formerly contained a bookbinder and printing houses and was officially converted to condos in 2004. Dana Power of Town Residential currently represents this luxe Soho listing.

Charming history? Check. Ideal location? Check. Opportunities to name drop? Endless.
