This Quintessential British Home Decor Brand Just Dropped Stateside

Decor and furniture retailer OKA has been a staple in the houses of trend-setting Brits for the past 20 years. In addition to a long list of not-to-be-named icons, fashion entrepreneur Natalie Massenet and clothing designer (and best friend to Meghan Markle) Misha Nonoo are both big fans of the brand, as well as travel influencer Lucy Williams, who recently made over her London flat with a few of the brand’s pieces. Now, thanks to the launch of its first-ever U.S. website, Americans can bring the same British style home.
“We’re obsessed with the weather,” OKA creative director and cofounder Sue Jones says of Brits. “We barely speak about anything else, so we want our places to be warm and cozy with throws, cushions, and armchairs that you sink right into.” That explains some of the items on Williams’ must-have list: ottomans that double as seating, embroidered pillows, blue-and-white Kraak porcelain.
“Eclectic homes with lots on display are a real conversation starter and a bit of a window into the mind of who lives there,” Williams explains. “In my case, that window would see chaos, color, and comfort.” Do as the British do and channel the charm with these four finds.
This hand-painted table lamp, which now sits on Williams’ kitchen counter, lends a well-traveled feel to a cookie-cutter table.
