Lately, kids’ interiors have taken an especially sophisticated and stylish turn—and we’re not complaining. Adding to the kiddos only mix is one interiors expert who has already mastered the art of playfulness: Justina Blakeney.

Known for her free-spirited style and sunny aesthetic, the designer, artist, author, and lifestyle blogger behind The Jungalow is officially launching her first collection—and it’s been created specifically for children and nursery. In partnership with Pottery Barn Kids, this line for little ones is set to launch in December 2017. It will feature bedding, lighting, accessories, giftables, and storage.

Considering that the Cali native has been particularly busy this year—thanks to a do-good furniture and decor collaboration with Selamat, as well as the release of her first bohemian handbook out earlier this month—it’s pretty unbelievable Blakeney has found the time to take on a new project just in time for the holidays. However, the designer’s next move into children’s spaces and nursery seems only fitting, particularly given her childlike spirit and passion for maximalism. “My style is already wild and whimsical, so working with Pottery Barn Kids to develop my first collections for kids and baby was a natural fit,” says Blakeney.

Blakeney’s obsession with travel, flea market finds, plants, and textiles has fueled her fresh and fun outlook on interiors and the possibilities of the home from the very beginning, so PB Kids was perfect. “Between their seemingly unlimited resources of talent and expertise, and my penchant for hand-painted patterns and my boho sensibility, the rooms came out feeling imaginative, creative, and carefree—and with a spirit of adventure—all things I want for my kid, but also kids everywhere!” Blakeney explains.

While we have yet to sneak a peek at the products, boho aficionados and dedicated Blakeney followers can expect to see a number of the designer’s lively trademarks, like hand-drawn patterns, jungle-themed textiles, eclectic accents, and vibrant colors. Whether you have children or not, we’re anticipating Blakeney’s latest line will be so chic, even adults will be lining up to buy it.

The Justina Blakeney for Pottery Barn Kids collection will be available in December 2017 at select Pottery Barn Kids stores and online.
