Forget that package of workout classes. When the new year comes around (and this time, a whole new decade), Etsy has a specific hue to help you switch things up. In its 2020 report, Dayna Isom Johnson, the site’s resident trend expert, predicts that chartreuse is going to be big and bold.

She’s been spotting the color in both fashion (we’re looking at you, Paris Fall 2019 runways) and decor—things as statement making as full-on bedspreads, as well as small pieces like wall art. It’s a bright, electrifying tone that, to her, is simply irresistible—and perfect for our current moment. “2020 will be a year for new beginnings and making meaningful change,” she explains. “Chartreuse embodies unconventional thinking and feelings of growth and harmony as we head into this new decade.”
