No judgment if you’ve spent the past two years working from a dining room table, kitchen island, or sofa, but if you’re ready to refresh your “office,” now is the time to make moves: Dims, the furniture retailer known for its minimalist offerings, and Dusen Dusen, the colorful textile, clothing, and homewares brand designed by Ellen Van Dusen, have teamed up once again on a collection dubbed Ogle My Office. The collaboration officially launches at 1 p.m. ET today on Dims’ website, so you’ll want to set your alarm ASAP: Last year their first joint design sold out in under one hour (!), and we expect this round will go just as fast.
The new collection once again features the Cleo chair, originally designed by Stine Aas, and adds the Eave desk, from MSMD Studio, as a companion piece. Both ash-wood pieces ($595 and $1,395, respectively) feature a color-blocked scheme with an “almost green, but not definitively yellow” hue at the center of the palette. “I based all my color choices around this chartreuse shade,” says Van Dusen, who paired it with fiery red, cornflower blue, lavender, jade, and warm white. Unlike the standard white desk–black swivel chair combo, this bold mix is bound to add a generous dose of playful, positive energy to any workspace.
And even if you’re back to the boardroom this year, you can still bring a bit of whimsy home with this power duo by using it as a traditional dining room solution (the Eave desk can seat up to four). Surely your boss will understand if you need to step away for your very important afternoon meeting.
