The question hanging over everyone’s head after a big holiday feast: What are we going to do with all these leftovers? There are only so many ways you can spice it up the next day. One solution? Add a bun and call it a sandwich. Another trick? Toss everything in a slow cooker with some broth and make a soup. Both options, though, lend the same lackluster result: It doesn’t actually taste all that different. Fortunately, we don’t have to bear another boring morning-after meal again, all thanks to an ingenious tip from Chrissy Teigen.

In her latest Cravings newsletter, the celebrity chef revealed that this Thanksgiving she got to indulge in her favorite holiday tradition: dinner for breakfast—but with a fried egg on top! The hack seems almost too simple, but Teigen swears it’s a game changer. “I find I get to actually enjoy the flavors, rather than eating it all in a sleepy daze,” she writes.

The beauty of this upgrade is that it’s inexpensive and takes about .5 seconds to make. Plus, there are no instructions to follow (you just have to know how to properly crack an egg). In preparation for your next big spread, stock up on all the essentials that you need to pull off a morning meal, including a trivet for the table, a teeny-tiny skillet, herb seasoning for extra zest, and a sturdy spatula to scoop up your next-level leftovers.
