According to Variety, the former Mrs. Sonny Bono bought the Egyptian-themed estate in the mid-1970s and resided there for over a decade before selling it to Eddie Murphy in 1988.
The 20,000 square foot main house hosts multiple bedroom suites, arched windows, stone floors, and a screening room.
The Moroccan-style guesthouse features four bedrooms, six bathrooms, two kitchens, a pair of fireplaces, and over 7,000 square feet of living space.
Directly outside the houses you’ll find several flowering gardens, koi ponds, and nearly 6,000 square feet of Travertine terraces designed for entertaining outdoors.
Additionally, the resort-inspired grounds hold a state-of- the art equestrian barn—complete with two riding rings, a pair of en suite bed-and- baths, and an old-school “safe room.”
And if that weren’t enough to justify the price tag, there’s also a swimming pool and a tennis court—with a shaded viewing area—on the property, as well as multiple private trails for hiking and riding throughout the 16-acre estate!
