It’s no secret that we’re big proponents of versatility, especially when it comes to small spaces. We discovered these ultra chic, metal wall plates from CB2’s Spring collection, and were inspired to say the least. Comprised of three varying sizes, each piece within the set features a unique metallic finish including brass, silver, and matte black. For as well as these pieces can function as wall plates, we couldn’t help but think of a few alternate ways to display them. Take a look!

ONE

The Vanity Tray

Mixing metals are a major trend for 2017, and this vignette proves just that. Utilize the silver plate to function as a tray to house all your beauty essentials. The mini, matte black wall plate brings about a pleasant color contrast to the scene, as well as doubling as a daring wall accent.

TWO

The Three-Tiered Server

DIY-enthusiasts, this one’s for you. Create a show-stopping centerpiece for your next fete by compiling the metallic wall plates with a lustrous brass detail. We paired our tiered structure with a vibrant floral display at the base to balance out the look, and because everything looks better with a little green!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Metal wall plates
  • Wooden dowels cut to 10″ and 6″ lengths, respectively (alternatively, you may use a temper straight pipe or a closet rod)
  • Metallic spray paint, we opted for a blend of copper and gold, for a brass-like finish
  • Strong adhesive (we used this)

*Alternatively, you may wrap the dowels in brass or copper sheets, for a more luxe effect

1.

Spray paint the dowels and set aside to dry. Using the adhesive, attach the pipes to the bottom center of each of the wall plates.

2.

If using the wooden dowels, wrap each piece with the brass sheets using the adhesive, and repeat the above.

3.

Once the glue has dried, deck the piece with food and drinks!

THREE

The Entryway Organizer

Designate a tray for the respective decorative elements of an entryway console, for an organized finish. We reserved the bigger wall plate for a stack of titles, the medium for greens and scented candles, while the smaller piece functions as a trinket dish for keys.
