This year, Easter falls in the midst of two family birthdays, buying a new house, and selling ours. Did I mention we’re the ones hosting, too? Needless to say, I don’t have the brain capacity for coming up with a novel table setting. So, I asked four seasoned hosts I admire to share their Easter table decorations from last year—prepare to be inspired, below. And in case you, too, could use a little help, I also put together a shopping list for each.
The Happy-Go-Lucky Easter Table
My husband, two children, and I normally celebrate Easter at our house in Puglia, Italy, so we pre-celebrate Easter in Berlin to enjoy the colors, good food, and a lot of chocolate in our dining room with our local friends and family. The beautiful yellow checkered tablecloth made me think of Easter immediately and it works really well with colorful placemats from Morocco and our collection of plates. A table should bring joy to your guests. —Johanna Obst (aka tuttifruttiapartamento), content creator

The Farmers’ Market Easter Table

Being in Australia, I tend to avoid leaning too heavily into spring pastels for Easter. Instead, I take a more natural approach, using fresh produce and soft greens to create a subtle seasonal nod. Dutch carrots and garden-style florals reference the Easter bunny in a way that feels understated and considered. Rather than using literal motifs like rabbits or chicks, I prefer small nods, such as napkins folded into the shape of bunny ears. They feel chic and practical, but still whimsical and fun. —Loui Burke, content creator

The Serve-Yourself Easter Table
Inspiration for this table came from the joy of gathering. I wanted everyone who was there to feel like they were welcomed regardless of if they celebrated the religious holiday or not. —Venita Aspen, content creator and reality TV star

The Something-Blue Easter Table
I love setting an Easter table that feels fresh and relaxed. Here, I layered soft stripes with our classic Soho print in light blue and added pops of green for color, finished off with simple touches of citrus. It’s cheerful and welcoming, exactly how I like a spring gathering to feel. —Heather Taylor, textile designer
