Even the tiniest items at Ikea have untapped potential. Case in point: these adorable place card stands. What can you really do with something so simple? Well, we painted them to give them a pop of personality and then reimagined them in three different, super-functional ways.

1. The Photo Stand

Having a physical photograph is so unexpected these days that you need an equally unexpected way to show it off. That’s where our place card photo stands come in. Just print your Instagram photos the desired size—or even varying sizes for a little extra interest—and pop them into the stands.

2. The Ornament

‘Tis the season to get crafty with your holiday decor, and what better starting place than these place card stands? Painted, dyed, bedazzled or simply covered in stickers, they’re the perfect accent for your tree (or branch). Simply tie contrasting ribbon, and you’re good to go.

3. The Place Card Stand

Last, but not least, let this baby shine the way it was intended to be used. Unfinished, the stands could look sweetly rustic with a kraft paper name card; gussied up, they look cute with contrasting and confetti-esque name cards.
