It’s Memorial Day weekend already, and we’re not complaining, but, boy oh boy, summer really snuck up on us. If you, like us, are a little less than ready to slip your feet into a pair of strappy sandals, good news: We’ve assembled a quick guide to getting your tootsies ready to be out and about, STAT.

First thing first: Take a soak. Not only does it feel great, but it softens the skin on your feet, too. (Which will come in handy in a minute.)

I love Pursoma Bain de Pied, $12, for its super powerful results, thanks to French grey sea salt, wild-harvested seaweed, and green algae. So not only does it soften skin, it also detoxifies the body, and allows for 20 minutes of pure relaxation. But, if you’re short on time, make it 10 minutes.

At the end of your soak, grab your scrub. Try out Frank Body Express-o Coffee Scrub, $19.95, which is brilliant at scrubbing away any dry skin, with the raw sugar and ground coffee beans mix. The caffeine also gives an added boast of cell turnover, making for healthier, more glowy skin. Really massage that scrub in for a minute, getting your feet and ankles in on the action, and then rinse off in the Pursoma foot soak water.

If you really want to eradicate your calluses, get manual with a pumice stone, especially after a soak when the skin is softer; it’ll be easier to safely scrub at your dry skin.

Dry off your feet, and if you feel like you need one last push to rid yourself of any rough skin, you can do a quick foot sheet mask. An exfoliating one, like Karuna Exfoliating+ Foot Mask, $10.50, will erase any stubborn dry skin still hanging around.

Finish off with a major dose of hydration, in the form of Captain Blankenship Organic Avocado + Peppermint Hand & Foot Balm, $24, to smooth and moisturize. Try to really massage the balm, or the lotion of your choice, into your feet so you get an added moment of zen, but also so it can soak in further.

If you want a last minute pedi, grab a one-step quick color. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, $4.49, is pretty brilliant at a full nail polish job in one minute—literally one minute. No base coat or two color coats or top coat needed. You simply swipe the polish on clean, dry nails and let it set for one minute. And you’re good to go.

All that’s left is some sunscreen, getting outside and enjoying yourself.
