Situated on a cozy side street off the new design corridor of Clark Street in Chicago’s Andersonville, Norcross and Scott Home offers a wide range of product lines and brands discovered by Amanda and Scott that Chicago design enthusiasts may not already know.

Unison Home

Unison Home (1911 W Division St, Chicago) specializes in bringing great design and quality craftsmanship to everyday objects. They feature high quality, affordable textiles and soft goods that are distinguished by bold colors and unique patterns. The also focus on product lines created as special collaborations with modern artists and designers, such softgoods lines designed as Cody Hudson and Hillary Sproatt.  

Modern Cooperative

Located in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, Modern Cooperative (1215 West 18th Street, Chicago) is a collective of 75 local vintage dealers specializing in Mid-Century furniture and home goods, as well as artists and makers who design and create using re-purposed materials. From vintage furniture to handmade decor items and beautifully crafted paper goods, visiting Modern Cooperative is like a shopping at the best summer pop-up bizarres all year round.

Martha Mae

Named after owner Jean Marie Cate’s beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Martha Mae (5407 N. Clark Street, Chicago) is a lovingly designed shop specializing in art supplies and beautiful, useful things for the home. Jean Marie features an array of unique items from gorgeous floral prints and framed artwork to home decor items to a variety of unique office supplies (i.e. supplies to make your own custom business cards and tiny decorative glass bottles filled with gold paperclips).

Neighborly

Neighborly (2003 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago) is the brick-and-mortar home design store founded by Ork Posters creator Jenny Beorkrem as a way to “connect people with other independent artisans.” Neighborly features many locally-sourced items from independent designers and small manufacturers and offers a wide variety of eco-friendly and one-of-a-kind items that celebrate Midwest heritage.

Humboldt House

Humboldt House (1045 N. California Ave, Chicago) was founded in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood by artist Claire Tibbs as a way to combine her love for art, design, and vintage finds with a welcoming and community-oriented neighborhood shop. From vintage Turkish rugs to modern ceramics and textiles, Humboldt House is a great resource for unique finds and is a fabulous place to browse for design inspiration.

District

District (4835 N Damen Ave, Chicago) is a furniture and home goods store specializing in refurbished Mid-Century castoffs that owner and artist Chris Murphy lovingly restores and revitalizes into modern statement pieces. Alongside vintage furniture, District features an assortment of original artwork, home decor items, and locally-made carry goods.

South Loop Loft

South Loop Loft (308 N. Leavitt Street, Chicago) is a stunning, 3,500 square-foot showroom in Chicago’s West Town Design District featuring a rotating selection of furniture, home goods, and artwork sourced from across the U.S. and around the world.
