Pops of neon, hot pink florals, holographic accents: This isn’t your run-of-the-mill bridal shower. All-white linens and bushels of peonies and roses have had their moment. Now it’s time to give the time-honored tradition a well-deserved reinvention.

With color at the forefront, this rebrand is all about making the decorative accent pieces shine without having to spend a fortune or hire professional help. Note to all the skeptics out there: It can be done. To pull it off, we looked to Amazon for cheeky and chic party accessories to help us do just that.

Ahead, the recipe for throwing a bridal shower that’s pretty out of this world.

A Tablescape That’s Pure Joy

While the foundation of the table can remain neutral—think: a white tablecloth with matching dinnerware and chairs—use colorful accents, like neon washi tape or confetti-speckled plates, to add a layer of fun. Lay out a bright yellow runner along the length of the table to set the tone, and complement the look with hot pink taper candles in white holders.

Signature Drinks That Are More Than Just Champagne

Who said Aperol Spritzes were just for summer? Impose aperitivo hour with the most-talked-about cocktail of the year. Pair equal parts Aperol and a bottle of bubbly with a splash of soda, then garnish with orange slices. Serve the concoction in tall glasses, and take things to the next level with Technicolor straws; arrange the drinks on neon acrylic trays to really drive the vibe home.

A Centerpiece That Doubles Down on the Wow Factor

Create a bunch that commands attention yet remains on theme. Begin with two vases, one slightly bigger than the other. Set the smaller one, which will hold the flowers, within the larger. Line the space between the two vessels with iridescent film paper to bring on the glitz. Fill the smaller vase with water and add dried palms, flamingo feathers, and a handful of dried stems for effect.

Party Favors They’ll Want to Write Home About

Chocolates or mini succulents have been done. Send guests home with their very own floral arrangement that fits in with the motif of the party. We used short acrylic pencil holders to house posies of anthuriums and palms and placed them atop the plates as placeholders.

Elevated Place Cards—Literally

Instead of the standard name tag on a plate, tack a note card on the stem of a flower using washi tape, and pop it into each one of the personalized vases. Complete the look with bright green hemmed napkins that nod to the table’s scheme.

A Technicolor dream, indeed.
