If your nighttime routine of late is all tossing and turning, lumpy lie-downs, or visible sag, we hate to break it to you: Your mattress is likely past its prime. And since this bedroom essential usually costs upwards of a $1,000, we wouldn’t blame you for putting off the purchase beyond a mattress’s normal life span

But here’s the good news: There’s no better time than Memorial Day weekend to snag a deal—even on the most coveted brands—including Domino-approved favorites. So say ta-ta to that old innerspring and give a brand-new hybrid or memory foam mattress a try by taking advantage of a once-a-year type of sale (30-night-plus sleep trials and free delivery, we heart you).

Casper

One of the first mattress-in-a-box sellers, Casper makes one of the best firm mattresses by our standards, but this isn’t the reason behind the brand’s cult following. The Original hybrid model can be found in the bedrooms of more than one Domino editor. And from now until June 7, you can save up to $800 on any model you choose. Couple that with a 100-night risk-free trial and 10-year warranty, and we promise you won’t want to snooze on this deal.

Nest Bedding

Nest Bedding’s Sparrow—the company’s signature hybrid (and its least returned)—is one of our favorite organic mattresses made with natural fibers. There’s a lot to back this one up, too: a 365-night sleep trial, free exchanges, and thousands of five-star reviews, including a glowing one from our deputy editor, Julie Vadnal, who reports it is comfortable for both her (a stomach sleeper) and her partner (a combination back and side sleeper). Right now, not only can you get this mattress for 25 percent off its usual list price, the brand will throw in two pillows, to boot.

Naturepedic

Market guru Cat Dash’s search for the best king mattress led her to Naturepedic, specifically the EOS Classic, an organic option made with cotton, wool, and organic latex. Unlike other mainstream mattresses, this one is fully customizable—seriously, a zippered edge allows you to increase or decrease the level of firmness by changing up the layers of foam. This is the type of bed that would normally cost you upwards of $3,000, but for Memorial Day weekend, you can get 15 percent off (plus two free pillows).

Saatva

Domino is a big fan of Saatva—it’s our go-to recommendation if you’re really looking to splurge. And you’re in luck: This weekend, you can take $450 off your purchase of $1,000 (or more). Here are our top picks: the Solaire, perfect for couples with polar-opposite sleeping preferences, thanks to a split-top design, and, of course, the Classic—its 3-inch-thick pillow top is so comfortable you won’t even notice the steel pocketed coils working hard to keep your spine in check (this feature put it at the top of our best mattresses for back pain).

Serta

You’ve probably heard of Serta before—this company has been making mattresses since the 1930s. You can find any type here, whether it’s a gel-infused cooling foam, a reactive memory foam, or a springy hybrid. Shave up to $1,000 off your purchase, especially if you pair your bed with a base, until June 14. A brief rundown: You’ll be able to save up to $400 on the mattress, but up to $600 on select adjustable bases.

Tuft & Needle

We’re fans of Tuft & Needle’s Original mattress—the adaptive, proprietary, gel-infused memory foam put it on our list of the best twin mattresses—and you can save $200 between now and May 30. And why not refresh your bedding, too? Take an additional 15 percent off pillows, sheets, duvets, and more.

GhostBed

Sleep as sound as tennis star Venus Williams, who collaborated with GhostBed to create her very own mattress with athletes in mind. It ups the ante on a foam roller with a memory foam mattress that reacts to your body temperature, penetrates sore muscles, and improves blood flow. And through the holiday weekend it will allow your bank account to recover, too: Save 25 percent off the original price (that’s $789 for those who dislike math), and get two free pillows with every purchase.

Nectar

As we continue to research and test the best mattresses, Nectar often tops our list for being the most affordable. You can sink into 12 inches of memory foam for less than $900, but get it for even less over MDW. If you purchase through Amazon, you can save 20 percent and still enjoy all the benefits of the brand’s 365-night sleep trial and lifetime warranty. Going directly through Nectar, however, presents a bundling opportunity up to $599 in savings: $100 off your mattress, and up to $499 on accessories (including a mattress protector worth $99, sheet set worth $200, and set of pillows for $200).

Dreamcloud

Dreamcloud’s five-layer hybrid model—one of the best mattresses for side sleepers—is a part of the company’s MDW sale, which lasts until May 29. Score this premium bed in a queen for $999, saving $699 in total ($200 off the mattress and $499 in accessories, since this memory foam and coil combo is compatible with adjustable bases).

Nolah

From now until June 6, Nolah is offering up to $700 off the Evolution hybrid mattress (complete with two free pillows); up to $600 off its latex hybrid mattress; up to $300 off its signature 12-inch mattress (a rare plush feel that’s great for pressure point relief); and more, including a kid-only option. If you happen to need an entirely new bed frame, spring for their stylish platform (save $100) or couple-friendly adjustable base (shave off $400).
