With summer quickly approaching, we’ve got
one breakfast essential on our minds: smoothies! You’ve probably seen your fair share of smoothie bowls garnished with an abundance of fruits, nuts, and edible florals (the list goes on and on!), but we’re all for switching things up
around here. Introducing the ombre smoothie! This colorful creation is not
only easy to make, it’s refreshingly delicious and simply picture-perfect. Berries, yogurt, and a little creativity combine in this beautiful, blendable, nutritious treat.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ¾ cups blackberries
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • ½ cup kiwi, sliced
  • ½ blood orange, freshly squeezed
  • 1 banana
  • 2 ½ cups blueberry yogurt

for garnish:

  • 1 slice blood orange
  • 1 slice kiwi
  • sprigs of mint

STEPS

Layer 1 Blend 1 cup blackberries.

Layer 2 Blend ½ cup blueberries.

Layer 3 Blend together ½ cup blueberries, ½ cup kiwi, and ½ blood orange.

Layer 4 Blend together ½ cup blueberries, 1 banana, and ½ cup blueberry yogurt.

Layer 5 Blend together ½ cup blueberries, ½ cup blackberries, and ½ cup blueberry yogurt.

Layer 6 Blend together 1 cup blueberry yogurt, ¼ cup blackberries.

Combine all six layers, and top with the remaining ½ cup of blueberry yogurt. Garnish with the blood orange and kiwi slices, and the sprig of mint. Enjoy!
