I’m Kristen Kellogg: creative director, filmmaker and brand storyteller behind @BorderFreeTravels: Wanderlust Website + Creative Agency. I spend much of my time gallivanting the globe collecting stories with my camera. I’ve been living on Nantucket Island for eight years, four of them year round. Quaint, quintessential, and community are all three words that immediately come to mind when thinking about the island. Here are a few my frequented favorite in and around town spots I’d love to share with you today! #locallyinspired

1. SOMA (South of Main St.)

Good things come in threes, especially on Washington Street. I pick up a Nitro Cold Brew or Iced Maple Water Americano (Secret menu item alert! Grab a @DrinkMaple from the case and hand it to the barista as you order a double shot of espresso over ice) @ACKcoffee most mornings. You’ll find @TheLovelyACK just next-door, a boutique where almost my entire closet of dresses are from, and across the way @ParchmentNantucket, a beautifully curated stationary store I can never get enough of.

2. Greydon House

What’s bound to be a home-away- from-home, Nantucket’s most talked about new space this summer is @GreydonHouse on Broad Street. A visual storytelling bespoke space with 20 rooms, you’ll find one of a kind furnishings throughout its entirety speaking to Nantucket’s past. This @RomanAndWilliams designed hotel is also opening a restaurant and bar with a focus on fresh and fine locally sourced food. After previewing their menu this month, I can’t wait to taste full on in August.

3. Centre Street

Made on Nantucket, make sure you walk into @IsobelAndCleo, a locally handmade knitwear brand. In the store, you’ll also find other emerging designers. If art is up your alley, walk four doors down and explore a mix of thoughtfully curated contemporary art from around the world at the @SamuelOwen Gallery. You may even spot owner Lee Milazzo creating work of his own in the back of this stunning simplistic space.

4. Lola 41

Incredible sushi in an always lively welcoming atmosphere, I enjoy stepping into @Lola41Nantucket and sitting at the bar for a Asahi Roll and glass of sauvignon blanc any night of the week. Their newest Lola restaurant will be opening up in Boston in 2017.

5. Old South Wharf

Walk down the white shell pathway and duck into @SkinnyDipNantucket, a summer collective started by three East Coast clothing and accessory designers. This boutique is a beautiful bright white space to spend an afternoon playing dress up. Across the way you’ll find @SpaceNantucket, adorned with sustainable globally sourced home goods, apparel, and accessories.

6. CRU

I feel like I’m out to sea without ever leaving the docks when I spend an afternoon or evening @CruNantucket. Order anything on their raw bar menu. I especially love the Blue Crab Cocktail with a glass of wine that will match the sun as it sets over the harbor.
