How to Wear Your Candy on Halloween

The abundance of candy is one of the highlights of Halloween, if you ask us, anyway. Aside from the joy we get from consuming it, crafting with it is a top favorite. This year, in lieu of indulging in your typical share of sweets, why not incorporate them into your costumes instead? Here’s how.

Bib Necklace

Materials

• Foam paper
• Ribbon
• Candy
• Scissors
• Glue gun

Instructions

Trace out the shape of your necklace on the foam paper, and cut out.

Punch holes at the top of the shape and lace your ribbon through, tying knots in the end to secure it.

Lay out the candy in your desired design on the bib and hot glue in place.

Tip: We found that gum balls cut in half, Sixlets, jordan almonds, rock candy, and licorice worked really well!

Candy Crown

Materials

• Wire (one thicker gauge and one thinner)
• Floral tape
• Leaf ribbon
• Wrapped candy
• Bobby pins
• Wire snips
• Needle Nose Pliers

Instructions

Wrap the thicker wire (or use a thin headband) with floral tape to start your base.

Twist the leaf ribbon around the base piece and fasten it with the thinner wire.

Attach wrapped candy pieces on with thin wire. Place on your head and attach with bobby pins to hold it in place.

Charm Bracelet

Materials

• Wire bracelet base
• Eye pins “1 (get it here)
• Gummy candies
• Needle nose pliers

Instruction

Skewer a mix of gummy candies with the eye pins and lay them out in your desired pattern.

Using the pliers, bend the eye open so you can hook it onto the base and then tighten it back in place.

Continue until the bracelet is as full as you’d like.

Note: Be careful not to consume a piece of candy that still has a wire in it.
