It’s rare for a niche grocery item to go viral—so when it does, we definitely pay attention. By now you’ve heard of (and likely tried) Trader Joe’s cauliflower gnocchi, a product with such a cult following it’s basically a nationwide pantry staple. But have you heard of its wildly underrated cousin,  sweet potato gnocchi?

It comes with some pretty official accolades. This year it once again made the list of customers’ favorite products. It’s also an incredibly easy dish to make when you come home hangry: Quickly toss it with some oil in a skillet and let it crisp on all sides. Though for those nights where you’re craving something a little more filling and feeling ambitious, these foodies have great recipes to take your gnocchi to the next level. Just sub in your TJ’s find where the recipe says to make it from scratch. We’ll never tell.

Sweet Potato Gnocchi With Fried Sage, Dried Cherries, and Toasted Hazelnuts

Great for: When you’re burning the midnight oil at the office and all you want when you get home is a bowlful of something carb-y stat. Spoon Fork Bacon’s take hits the spot with a mix of sweetness (from the fruit) and earthiness (from the herb). Best of all, it will only take 10 minutes to put together once the gnocchi is cooked.

Serve it up: On a plate with fancy marbleized detailing to kick the simple meal up a notch.

Sweet Potato Gnocchi With Broccoli Rabe

Great for: When you want to be healthy-ish without resorting to salads. Pinch of Yum’s recipe mainly features two veggies (sweet potatoes and broccoli rabe), so as far as we’re concerned, it’s a nutritious choice.

Serve it up: Family-style, in a royal blue casserole that will replace the need for a centerpiece.

Sweet Potato Gnocchi With Cream Sauce

Great for: Low-key dinner parties, where the menu centers around comfort food that’s made to be filling. What Molly Made’s creation definitely fits the bill; we’d like to swim in that creamy topping. (And you’d never know by looking at it, but the sauce is actually Paleo- and Whole 30–friendly, too.)

Serve it up: In a stylish stove-to-table vessel, like this pink pan—just don’t forget to drape a tea towel over the handle to keep your guests from burning their fingers.

Sheet-Pan Sweet Potato Gnocchi

Great for: The hands-off chef who only wants to use one pan. Mom Under Pressure’s recipe offers minimal cleanup and maximum flavor, courtesy of the cheeses, vegetables, and, yes, bacon.

Serve it up: Great Jones’s sheet pan is as stylish as it is handy; we recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their basic kitchen tools.

Sweet Potato Gnocchi With Herbed White Wine Pan Sauce

Great for: Soft, pillowy gnocchi? Check. Wine-based topping? Check. Half Baked Harvest’s recipe has all the trappings of our favorite comfort foods, and it’s ideal for those chilly nights when all you want to do is eat in peace while binge-watching Netflix. If you’re using the Trader Joe’s version, you’ll sadly have to forfeit the ricotta filling, but with so much other tastiness, you’ll barely miss it.

Serve it up: There’s no shame in a luxurious dinner for one, especially when it’s served in these elegant hand-glazed porcelain bowls.
