Jean Lee and Dylan Davis founded Ladies & Gentlemen in 2010 out of their home garage in Seattle before moving the design studio to Brooklyn a few years later. The duo’s handblown glass objects, home decor, and lighting experiment with how form and function can intersect in unexpected ways. “We’ve always been fascinated by the optical qualities of glass,” says Lee.

Brooklyn’s multimedia design team Keenan/Polich collaborated with Quiet Storms on a series of jewelry boxes that elevate simple forms into sculptural objects. Inspired by the material’s tactility (this was Keenan/Polich’s first time working with glass), they played with balance and transparency. “The lid is crystalline as a counterpoint to the opaque ceramic base,” explains Tyler Polich.

Prague-based Dechem Studio, run by Michaela Tomiskova and Jakub Jandourek since 2012, works in the storied Bohemian glassmaking tradition, adding its own spin with inspired color combinations. “It’s amazing to see the material go from soft honey to a solid state in just a few seconds,” says Jandourek.
