Ballet dancers are known for their grace, dedication, and elegance. New York City, on the other hand, is known for its trash-covered sidewalks, rat-infested train stations, and dirty puddle water. Yet, when you mix the two things together, you get impressively beautiful photos. Photographer Omar Z. Robles captures breathtaking images of ballerinas juxtaposed against the harsh streets of NYC. The plié in the middle of traffic-jammed streets, croisé on crowded gum-covered sidewalks, and pirouette in dingy subway tunnels. The contrast between the two is striking.
