I recently redid my home office to turn it into a bright, light-filled space with personalized accessories from Shutterfly inspired by luxe color and memorable moments from my various travels. With a graphic Schumacher wallpaper as a backdrop, I chose fun, colorful images for my designs that would pop against the neutral background. Shutterfly was able to scale my photos perfectly, and the printed colors are always accurate and very vibrant.

Not only do these accessories and art make me happy on any given work day—and provide endless inspiration—I now want to recreate them as holiday gifts for all of my friend’s with our shared moments on Instagram

Shutterfly makes it so easy to upload photos and designs right from your phone, so I always print my favorite shots right when I return from a trip to hang up in my office with neon washi tape. I constantly swap out the collection of photos to be reminded of sunny summer beach days, inspirations, and adventures with my family.

Upgrading every day accessories is the easiest way to revamp a space. I chose a moment of calm from the Guggenheim Museum in New York City for my mouse pad. Not only do I love the graphic quality, but it’s a fun reminder of a lovely fall day seeing inspiring art.

Printing photos on Shutterfly is so easy from my phone that I often find myself with stacks of images to sift through. I keep prints organized in lucite trays so I can easily swap them out and access them when I need color inspiration.

This glass catch-all tray keeps my desk looking organized (even when it’s not). I picked an all-over bloom pattern from a recent trip to Mexico, and it makes me happy every time I see it. The colors printed beautifully and are so vibrant. Also, the rectangular shape makes it a perfect canvas for panoramic, landscape, or horizontal photos.

The lucite tray is ideal for bringing coffee or a snack into my office. I chose to blow up a graphic mural that I saw in Oaxaca, Mexico, and accessorized with bright office supplies. For my iPhone, I selected a detail shot of a beautiful textile—I love how abstract and vibrant the pattern becomes when wrapped around the case.

Our photo director, Meghan McNeer made this mug for me after we had all been up late closing our Fall Style Issue. I love that Shutterfly allows you to customize the handle with a cool metallic finish. It makes me happy whether it’s my mid-morning coffee or afternoon herbal tea.

Paperweights are under appreciated—the heft really does help keep receipts and notes organize. I chose a graphic photo for mine to create a fun, colorful moment.

The magnetic board is great for hanging notes and postcards. I selected the pattern of a favorite tiled floor for the background.

I used another shot from our photo director for my notebook. The very chill beach scene from Tulum gives me a little zen every time I need to check my to-do list.

This easel-style desktop calendar is one of the best new products from Shutterfly. It’s modern and the layout makes it super easy to select my favorite Instagram moments from the year and upload them to Shutterfly. Plus, it makes such a great personalized gift.

Another item I’ll be gifting this holiday season is the portable phone charger. I selected an image from Los Angeles for mine to give myself a helpful remember to charge my phone before a flight.

For this ceramic tile, which does overtime as decor, coaster, and trivet, I chose a moody image of a martini at The Russian Tea Room in New York City—the shadows make what could be a basic shot a super interesting moment.

And when my day is done, I love curling up in this chair and drinking my tea with a good book and catching up on Instagram (and let’s be honest, a few emails). No reading nook is complete without a cozy throw. I chose to colorblock Shutterfly’s super soft fleece blanket, and it is perfect for cuddling up at the end of a long day.

With a desk full of customized accessories, I actually look forward to sitting down and starting my day. What were once mundane every day items are now colorful reminders of family adventures, art exhibits, and meaningful trips that inspire me and make work more fun.
