So good that @jeremiahbrent and I had to have it in our own home. The LIV chair from our collection at @livingspaces #NJforLS

Interior design power couple Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent’s Los Angeles home is nothing short of a Hollywood dream. Although the 8,500-square-foot home boasts plenty of room for the duo and their two little ones, apparently, the growing family has reached max capacity. According to Variety, the pair just sold their gorgeous mansion for a jaw-dropping $11.35 million.

Built in 1928, the Mediterranean-inspired house is brimming with history and rich architectural character. Berkus and Brent first purchased the property only three years ago when they snagged it from Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman for a cool $8 million—a comparatively modest price tag given how much they just sold it for.

Featuring six bedrooms, two dining rooms, and a double master walk-in closets (separate shoe wall included), the expansive spread is about as spacious as it gets. Even more impressive than the home’s sheer size, however, is what Berkus and Brent have done with the interior.

Applying their refined eye for contemporary furnishings and elegant neutrals, the duo imbued every room in the house with their signature elevated style. For starters, the living room is a stunning lesson in mixing timeless shapes with sculptural accents. That showstopping stone coffee table alone is reason enough to lust after the home.

The palette of soft whites and charcoals continues on into the chef’s kitchen, where a dramatic hint of black along the bordering counters and backsplash plays off the contrast created by the white-and-wood island. Though if we were forced to live out the rest of our days in just one room, there’s no question it’d be the dining room. Just peep those coffered ceilings! It’s time-tested details like this (and the 17th-century marble floors in the foyer) that elevate the house from your standard California mansion to a storied gem.

Upstairs, rich textures and deep tones bring life to otherwise calming neutrals. Berkus’ and Brent’s stunning master suite makes a serious case for committing to golden taupes and beiges. Dual dressing rooms and a bold master bathroom can also be found nearby. The graphic veins of the marble shower prime the space for high impact.

For their daughter Poppy (who inspired Berkus’ latest Target collection), the design duo went the grown-up route with a toned-down marbleized wallpaper print and an incredibly chic blush pink bed frame. Oskar’s nursery is also a testament to modern children’s decor with its bamboo statement wall and large-scale art.

Outside, the zen continues with a koi pond, an organic garden, and a large swimming pool. While we’re loving the comeback of checkerboard floors in the kitchen, this couple’s Cali-cool patio makes an argument for bringing the timeless pattern outdoors.
