There is no shortage of inspiring abodes available to book on Airbnb, whether you have your sights set on an ultra-luxurious city flat, a spacious desert getaway, or a cozy lakeside cabin where you can invite all your friends. That’s why it might come as a surprise that the most-booked property on the site is a humble 100-square-foot home set on 10 acres of land, Airbnb recently revealed.

The Mushroom Dome Cabin is a super-simple lofted home with an eye-catching geodesic dome, nestled on Monterey Bay, just 10 minutes from the beach. Located near Forest Nisene Marks State Park, it’s the perfect basecamp for guests to hike amid old-growth redwood trees. Sure, this home isn’t a luxury locale—its composting toilet provided a challenge for some visitors (as the listing notes)—but there’s plenty of reasons it would draw such a large crowd.

Opened in 2009, it was one of the first Airbnb rentals not located in a city and set in a place where forest and sea are easily accessible. It makes for an amazing nature escape, which means it’s the perfect place to stay when you really need to de-stress. Plenty of studies have shown that proximity to nature can decrease cortisol (the hormone that causes the physical sensation of stress), reduce blood pressure, and lower heart rate. A bit of green therapy can do the mind and body some good.

If you’re feeling like you could use a stay amid some greenery, you’ll have to wait a while to book this cabin—its next openings aren’t until September. Luckily, there are plenty of escapes to choose from. Here are a few of our favorites.

For a Reset by the Sea

This beachy abode in New South Wales, Australia, was originally a fisherman’s cottage. Now, it’s a perfectly cozy place to relax with a hot cup of tea as you gaze out at the surrounding clear blue waters.

For a Calming Night in the Rainforest

This architectural marvel is set in an ecological sanctuary in Rio De Janeiro. With a waterfall just a short walk away and awe-inspiring jungle views just outside, this retreat is ideal for nature lovers who want to explore one of the most biodiverse areas in the world.

For a Treehouse Adventure

Located in the same town as the Mushroom Dome Cabin, this mid-century-styled treehouse makes a great place for a larger group to stay. With a hammock on the deck—which is set against the backdrop of old-growth trees—it makes for a particularly enticing place to recharge.
