While  Mandy Moore and her husband, musician Taylor Goldsmith, eagerly await the arrival of their baby boy, Team Domino is looking forward to another bundle of joy: the reveal of her Sarah Sherman Samuel–designed nursery.

Over the weekend, the Emmy-nominated actor gave us a sneak peek at the wallpaper in a former guest room that Samuel is reimagining as an airy, jungle-inspired nursery in the couple’s 1950s Pasadena houseAnd thankfully, that’s not all. Samuel also gave Domino an exclusive look at the rest of of her design plans. Here are the five foundational pieces she’s using to set the stage for Baby Goldsmith.

The Toile With a Twist

A bit traditional, a bit unexpected, the room’s mural-like wallpaper features an elephant and palm trees that look like they were plucked straight from an illustrated children’s book. In a black and white color scheme, the design is just subtle enough to grow with kids (which means no redecorating projects a few years later).

The Multitasking Nap Spot

Every nursery needs a space for exhausted grown-ups to rest their heads, and this vintage Hans Wegner daybed achieves that in style. The rattan backrest even lifts up and locks in place to convert into a twin bed. When closed, it’s a concealed storage space for bedding.

The Statement Crib

Team Domino isn’t the only major fan of Leanne Ford’s Crate & Barrel collection—so is Samuel. With its rounded edges and oak finish, this piece will feel right at home in Moore’s mid-century retreat.

The Do-It-All Glider

There’s no need to pick between a swivel chair and a glider with this dual-purpose seat from Lulu & Georgia. Moore will be able to rotate from rocking the baby to sleep to staring at her sweeping hills view while nursing, and better yet the performance fabric means she won’t have to worry about spills.

The Cozy Layer

Samuel’s personal touch will serve as the base of Moore’s nursery by way of a handwoven tonal rug of her own design. On the star’s vibrant terrazzo floors, this wool-blend carpet will create a soft landing for playtime and first steps.
