Liberty of London floral fabrics are unmistakeable—the quintessentially English patterns have been around for nearly 100 years. And now, for the first time ever, the colorful prints will be available as furniture in the US, thanks to a new collaboration with Anthropologie.
The American lifestyle brand has partnered with Liberty of London for the Liberty for Anthropologie collection—a 40-piece fall furniture selection that’ll feature 18 of Liberty of London’s heritage vintage prints, and encompass several different aspects of home decor. Aside from some incredible upholstered furniture, you’ll also be able to purchase bedding, dinnerware, and kitchen accessories.
This collaboration is especially important to Andrew Carnie, President of Anthropologie’s Home, Garden, and Europe. Being an Englishman himself, he conceived and led the project, as working with the British brand had long been an ambition of his. He told Domino, “We’re dedicated to creative collaboration, which allows us to give our customer the special product she loves. In my mind, Liberty has always been the ultimate print brand. They were the originators of that cozy, pastoral, and quintessentially English pattern mix.”
Some of Liberty of London’s most famous prints will be on display, including Indian Chintz designs of the 17th and 18th centuries on the porcelain dining collection and tea sets, and a feathered motif on the bedding. The prices for the collection range from $14 for a porcelain teacup to about $4,000 for a sofa, so you can definitely get your hands on a print at almost any cost. The collab hits stores this Monday, August 14, and you can check out an exclusive first look below. Start picking your favorites now.
