Per Architectural Digest, Chastain renovated the turn-of-the century co-op—once owned by composer Leonard Bernstein—with help from boyfriend Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo.

The four-bedroom spread features original Victorian-style architectural details, such as hand-carved molding, patterned lead windows, pocket doors, and six wood-burning fireplaces.

Chastain sprinkled the 3,200-foot space with ornate antique pieces, including gilded mirrors, Venetian chandeliers, and even a slipper chair that once belonged to legendary actress Lauren Bacall.

The glam gourmet kitchen comes clad with a butcher countertop island, Victorian windows, and a

backsplash.

But the lavish abode also offers some pretty swanky contemporary amenities, including silk-covered walls in the library and the dining room’s lacquered white oak paneling.

Even the bathroom boasts herringbone-patterned walls and a freestanding copper pedestal tub that’s every bit as chic as the actress is.
