When we start to crave warmer weather, you might find us scrolling through summer mood boards on Pinterest or scouting cheap flights to Fiji. What do celebs like Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez do when they’re in the mood for a newly minted tan? They buy a beach house, of course.

Just a few short weeks after listing their $17.5 million Manhattan apartment, Lopez and Rodriguez are officially switching gears to the Golden State. According to Realtor.com, the power couple just snagged a $6.6 million beach house in Malibu, formerly home to Entourage actor Jeremy Piven.

Don’t let the seven-figure number fool you: The three-story abode was a total bargain. Piven first listed the beachfront property back in 2017 for an asking price of $10.5 million—a far cry from the $6.6 million the A-list duo would eventually pay after the home bounced on and off the market for a number of months.

While the house was originally built in 1949, the space is far from dated. Piven reportedly put $1.5 million toward renovations, updating the kitchen, adding a home theater, and building a carved wooden swing. The perfectly polished interior captures breezy coastal living at its finest.

The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area is framed by a series of glass sliding doors that lead out to the first-floor balcony and, beyond that, 50 feet of sandy beach. When the ocean water is too chilly for a swim, the pair can take a dip in the hot tub, break a sweat in the sauna, or take advantage of the master bath’s steam shower.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Lopez’s taste in real estate, it’s that she appreciates good lighting and even better views—balconies on each level frame the sweeping ocean vistas. After all, the singer has spent the past year looking down on all of Central Park from the tallest residential building in the world.

We think Barbie would definitely approve of this Malibu beach house.
