Just because a home is temporary doesn’t mean it can’t reach its full potential. With her brand-new rental in the Pacific Palisades, Jennifer Garner proves just that.
The actress has moved into a sprawling six-bedroom home that comes complete with a massive, white-tiled kitchen, a living room with large French doors, and plenty of space for entertaining friends and family. It even includes a movie theater and a wine cellar. Throughout, white walls provide a base for the occasional pop of pale blue or muted lavender.
Though this spacious abode would certainly make for a dreamy forever home, Garner plans to only nest here for a little while: According to Yolanda’s Black Book, the actress purchased a fixer-upper cottage in Brentwood for just short of $8 million in January. That property has been demolished, and in its place, a new dream home is currently under construction. So, in the meantime, the actress is temporarily settled in this supersize Cape Cod–style mansion, which last sold for $13.86 million.
Garner cherishes her domestic life. On her Instagram, she frequently shares hilarious videos of her home cooking experiments, and her yard is home to her flock of chickens, including one aptly named Hennifer. The birds have already settled into their new temporary home, as Garner documented in a playful video.

The largely neutral color palette of this space, paired with a few cozy accents—a bedroom complete with a fireplace and rooms that easily open out to the backyard—creates an elevated, contemporary vibe that has just a hint of farmhouse flair. We can’t wait to see how Garner’s Brentwood home turns out, but in the meantime, life in her rental looks totally plush.
