Few love stories are as prolific as the one that exists between millennials and a solid IKEA hack. Between low-budget kitchen upgrades that look completely custom and life changing (or, at least, bedroom changing) and headboard DIYs that take all of 10 minutes, we’re hooked. Though some of the very best makeovers we’ve seen lately haven’t come from bloggers but from the Swedish retailer itself. If you haven’t heard of Livet Hemma, allow us to make the introduction.

Livet Hemma, which loosely translates to “life at home,” is IKEA’s very own brand-sanctioned blog. It includes everything from cool styling ideas for the company’s newest products—like this moody tablescape—to surprisingly easy projects. The catch: The entire website is in Swedish. If your knowledge of the language is limited to ABBA, don’t worry. Open the page in Google Chrome, use the translate feature, and get ready to craft your way to a whole new space. Here are three ideas we have bookmarked.

The Room Divider

What you’ll need: A couple of Ivar Side Units ($14 each) and a roll of rattan material, which you can pick up at your local crafts store.

Why we love it: Aside from the fact that cane furniture is super-on-trend right now, a screen like this is the perfect small-space solution. Use it to section off “rooms” in a studio apartment.

The Headboard Revamp

What you’ll need: A basic backboard—for a sleek silhouette, try the Delaktig ($100); for something cushy, we like the Korshamn ($129)—and the linen upholstery of your choice. The tutorial uses IKEA’s Aina fabric ($9 per yard).

Why we love it: At once airy and über-cozy, this upgrade will add a layer of texture to your bedroom. If you have a sewing machine, it couldn’t be simpler—you’re basically making a large pillow.

The Mosaic Furniture

What you’ll need: A Lack Side Table ($10) and your pick of tiles and grout. Might we recommend going the colorful route

Why we love it: A luxe version of this tiled table went viral last year, courtesy of Danish brand Ikon København. This DIY gets you the look for a fraction of the price and with a customized color palette. Plus, you earn bragging rights on your new one-of-a-kind console.
