When you think of Scandinavian design, you probably picture super-simple products in neutral shades. That’s not what you’ll find at Danish retailer Hay. The brand is all about giving typical Scandi style a fresh twist with bright colors and experimental materials like borosilicate and recycled plastic. At a recent preview, we got to check out some of the pieces hitting shelves soon (well, virtual shelves anyway)—and they’re good. Like make-you-want-to-redesign-your-entire-home good.

One of our favorite upcoming launches is the kitchenware. From eye-catching storage to vibrant bar accoutrements, Hay’s new items are positively delightful. The line is full of tiny tools that will give any blah corners an instant refresh. Post-event, Team Domino couldn’t stop talking about them. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the pieces we have bookmarked:

We need a fleet of these candy-colored tin pantry storage vessels (the George Snowden–designed stainless steel bin comes in a variety of hues) to organize our dry goods once and for all. Adding Mother Nature–approved glass straws and refillable salt and pepper grinders to our cabinets is another no-brainer, especially since the products are so chic. And doesn’t everyone want to be the kind of person who owns a pannier basket, enabling fresh bread to be the constant guest of honor at the dinner table?

Mark your calendars for July, when the first batch of new Hay products rolls out. Race you to the checkout.
